Businesses are being invited to take part in Northamptonshire Chamber’s first Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) of 2014.
The aim of the QES is to give the Chamber a snapshot of the local economy and understand the issues faced by its member companies.
Each Chamber in the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) network carries out the QES and all the regional results are fed through to the BCC and then passed on to Government and the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), providing them with an accurate national economic overview.
The chief executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, Paul Griffiths, said: “This national QES is the largest business survey of its kind and is widely used by the media and politicians alike to gain an overall picture of the UK economy and the issues facing businesses.
“It is also used by the Bank of England and can influence the MPC on interest rate decisions. With this in mind, we can then lobby Government on their behalf to put measures in place that will support them.”
