An experienced businessman who has run his own firm for years has teamed up with a young entrepreneur in a “Dragons’ Den” style deal.
Adrian Wittering, of Kettering-based Wittering West which makes, sells and fits kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and hot tubs, has joined forces with Perfectly Sew, which was started by Clare Crampton a year ago and offers bespoke hand-sewn soft furnishings.
Adrian said: “It is a really natural progression to add soft furnishings to our offer. Wittering West prides itself on exceptional customer service, and having everything that our customers need for home improvement in our showroom is a fantastic development for us and our customers.”
Clare added: “It’s an amazing opportunity for me. Perfectly Sew had been going better than I hoped but I hit a ceiling being on my own.
“There isn’t a home improvement problem Adrian hasn’t encountered in all his years in the industry and having that amount of knowledge at my disposal is invaluable. Soft furnishings are an integral part of making any house a home. When customers are having a new kitchen, bathroom or conservatory installed blinds, curtains, cushions and re-upholstery are the final part of the jigsaw. It is our vision to make Wittering West a destination for interiors from a new kitchen, bathroom, conservatory, hot tub to new curtains, blinds and even dining furniture and kitchenware.”
Wittering West has revamped its showroom in Northfield Avenue and now has 30 kitchen displays. It is the regional Neff master partner and the regional rep of Neff described the showroom as “an Aladdin’s cave”.
Adrian said: “We pride ourselves on our quality products and service, but we don’t want this to scare off customers who think we can’t be competitive. We have a selection of products for every budget and our doors are always open to discuss any customer requirement.”
The pair are keen to talk to tradesmen about their supply needs for kitchens, bathrooms or soft furnishings. Call Clare on 07944 083638.
