Escape the wintry weather and take the children to the indoor play centre Kids Play in Kettering.

Here they can burn off some energy under the watchful eye of mum and dad while they enjoy a coffee.

Youngsters can race their friends in the dodgems, brave the speedy drop slide and learn to climb the 25ft climbing wall.

There’s also a ladybird carousel and a four-lane Astra slide, as well as scramble nets, ball cannons and trampolines.

Younger children can also enjoy the fun with a special area for under-fives featuring a soft toddler play area with a slide, a dizzy donut swing, a ball juggler and a ball maze.

There is also a cafe on site selling Costa coffee and light snacks.

Kids Play is open every day from 10am until 6.30pm.

Admission costs £4.95 for children under one metre tall, £6.95 for children over one metre and £2 for adults at weekends.

There is a special offer running throughout January where every time you visit Kids Play you can return within seven days free for another visit. The indoor play centre is based at Kettering Conference Centre in Thurston Drive.
