Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted break-in at a house in Corby.

The incident occurred at about 1.30am on Thursday, August 27, in Rochester Road when the householder heard banging noises coming from downstairs.

Patio doors at the back of the house were marked and damaged, and it is believed the offenders were disturbed when a light was turned on.

Two people were seen to run away from the property down Rochester Road.
