Burglars are targeting gold

THERE has been a number of burglaries of gold jewellery in two towns in the county.

In three burglaries in both Wellingborough and Kettering over the past two months, expensive jewellery has been stolen.

Police believe the crooks who carried out the offences were motivated by the rising price of gold.

A burglary took place between 1.30pm and 6.50pm on February 2, in Deeble Road, Kettering, and another in Pennine Way happened between the same day and Thursday, February 9. Another burglary occurred between 2pm and 7pm on February 13, in Kylesku Crescent in the town.

Incidents in Wellingborough included a burglary between 6.30pm and 7pm on March 31 in Stanley Road.

Witnesses to these offences should call police on 101.
