A building society has presented cheques worth thousands of pounds to charities including Cransley Hospice.
Market Harborough Building Society has supported the hospice since 2008. Cransley and LOROS – which covers Leicestershire and Rutland – care for patients where a cure is no longer possible and support the families and carers of clients along the way.
Both of the supporting charities have put their names to instant access saving accounts with the society which allows customers to make a difference by helping their local charities through financial donation or volunteering participation.
A 0.5 per cent donation of the average balances held in each account to the hospices is donated each year.
Chief Executive of Market Harborough Building Society, Mark Robinson, said: “We are proud to be supporting LOROS and Cransley Hospice. Their presence in the local area is highly valued and they play a big part in supporting our community. The funds they raise help to improve the quality of so many people’s lives.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to our members, for their ongoing support as the instant access charity accounts are a great way to benefit both the charities.”
Cransley Hospice’s Debbie Grant said: “The ongoing support from the society is really appreciated. We are delighted by the generous amounts the society donates. The funding the society provides is really vital as well as helping us raise awareness through the savings accounts. We would like to say a huge thank you to the members for their continuing support.”
