Boy taken to hospital after being bitten by dog at Northamptonshire canal festival

Officers are trying to trace the owners of a Jack Russell after a two-year-old boy was bitten on the arm at a Northamptonshire canal festival.

The incident happened at the Blisworth Canal Festival on Saturday, August 13, between 2pm and 4pm.

A boy was attacked by a Jack Russell on the festival field near a small gated entrance from Chapel Lane, between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, 13 August.

Police, who have only just released the witness appeal, say there were three people with the dog, including a man and woman in their mid-50s to early-60s, and a younger man in his 20s to 30s.

The boy was left with minor injuries and was taken to Northampton General Hospital for treatment.
