A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after being injured while playing rugby at a school in Corby.
The incident happened on Monday morning (December 2) at the school in Gainsborough Road.
The boy injured his neck during the match and needed a rapid transfer to the nearest trauma centre.
Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) took off from their base shortly before 10.50am and arrived at the scene of the incident just after 11am.
The patient was flown to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and the crew landed at the hospital just after 11.30am.
