Police have confirmed only one body has been found in Desborough.
The body of a 65-year-old man was removed from a home in New Street, Desborough, on June 8.
Residents have reported seeing a second body being removed from a house in the street on Tuesday on social networking sites, but police have confirmed no more bodies have been found.
The man had been dead for some time but police are not treating his death as suspicious.
A police spokesman said: “The man’s body was found on June 8, although he is believed to have died some time before then.
“Because of this the cause of his death has yet to be established and is being treated as unexplained.
“Investigations, including a thorough search of the property, have been taking place, while officers work to establish the facts surrounding the death.”
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
