Body discovered near Corby pub

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man after a body was discovered near a pub in the early hours of Tuesday morning (February 18).

Officers were called to the Phoenix pub on Beanfield Avenue, Corby, at 3.40am, where the body was discovered.

They are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the pub at the time.

A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Corby after being called to an incident in Beanfield Avenue, outside The Phoenix pub, at about 3.40am this morning. Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone who was in The Phoenix pub last night. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
