BHS collapse set to hit jobs at a Corby company
A company that openend in Corby with the promise of bringing 400 jobs to the town could be hit by the collapse of high street giant BHS.
Logistics firm Advanced Supply Chain, based at Eisseman Way, provides logistics support BHS which fell into administration earlier this week.
The company moved into Corby in 2011, initially with 100 employees.
They said they wanted to employ 300 more in the long-term.
But their main contract is fulfilling orders for BHS.
Advanced Supply Chain chief executive Mike Danby said: “As negotiations are ongoing we can’t speculate with regards to our further relationship with BHS.
“But we continue to support the business with its administration.”
BHS toppled into administration on Monday, putting 11,000 jobs at risk and with a £571m pension deficit.
The administrators are seeking a buyer for the whole business.
