The best of food and drink coming to Holdenby House in Northamptonshire

A chance to try the best of the food and drink products produced around the region and see some creative crafts comes to Holdenby House in Northamptonshire next month.

The Food and Craft Show is on September 5 and 6 from 10am to 5pm.

Products include condiments, artisan cheeses, home cured and fresh meat, dairy products, confectionary, bakery, wine, beer and other drinks, together with cookware and other related products.

There will be a full programme of food and cookery demonstrations from celebrity chef Matt Tebbutt (Food Unwrapped Channel 4, Great British Food vival BBC2 & guest presenter on BBC1 Saturday Kitchen and owner of the renowned Foxhunter restaurant) and it will be compered by Masterchef Ondine Hartgroves.

The show also has a range of other chefs including Andy Kelly, head chef at Sophia’s Restaurant (Sunday only) who will all add to a really good weekend for everyone from the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome. There will also be tours of the Kitchen Garden with Matt Hughes, who is head gardener at Holdenby.

William Sitwell will also be chairing a panel addressing local food issues.

Gin tasting sessions with Warner Edwards will also be on offer and families can also enjoy birds of prey flying displays from Icarus Falconry and a living history display from The Earl of Essex’s Regiment of Foote, as well as have-a-go croquet

And the show is also supporting and is supported by British Food Fortnight.

There will also be a range of food related and other stalls including arts, craft and gift stands. Admission is £7.50, concessions £6, children age 5-16 £3.50, family ticket: £18 (two adults and two children)

Accompanied children under 5 get in free

Admission also gives free access to the house and garden during the show. Parking is free.
