Thousands of pints have been drunk at the 11th annual Wellingborough Beer Festival.

The popular three-day event has been held at All Saints Church Hall, Midland Road, Wellingborough.

Festival-goers have been able to choose from the 40 different real ales and ciders on offer.

Alan Piggot, one of the event organisers, said: “It’s been very busy - Friday night was heaving.

“The first three barrels to sell out were from Harts Brewery in Wellingborough, which shows the event is supporting local ales.

“Thousands of pints have been drunk. The event is definitely getting bigger every year.”

Money was also raised at the event in aid of the British Red Cross.
