A well-known Northampton band has had its musical equipment stolen after thieves used a flatbed recovery vehicle to take their van.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of The Jets’ Mercedes van from Fife Street in Northampton. The theft took place between 11.45pm on Friday, December 21, and 12.15am on Saturday, December 22.

Officers believe the van was taken on a flatbed recovery vehicle.

The van contained a large proportion of the band’s equipment, including guitars, speakers, amps, lighting rigs and band merchandise.

The distinctive white Mercedes ‘Sprinter’ van has black vinyl on the sides and rear doors, placed to look like windows.

Police would like to speak to anybody who has any information about the theft or whereabouts of the band’s equipment.
