Oundle School was visited by Ashes-winning England cricket captain Alastair Cook at a recent national under-13 tournament.
Cook presented the prizes to all six teams and hosted a question and answer session with the players at the event, which was won by Guildford Cricket Club.
The awards were presented in front of the school’s new J M Mills pavillion, which was named after Mike Mills who enjoyed an 80-year history with Oundle cricket.
Oundle School enterprises and events manager Susie Raby said: “We were delighted to host the NatWest U13 and U15 National Club Championships for the second year running.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for young cricketers from all over the UK to come together in competitive spirit and having the U13 prizes presented by Alastair Cook will be something they remember for life.”
