Art inspired by dereliction

An artist from Wellingborough is exhibiting his work at the Yarrow Gallery at Oundle School.

Professional artist Clifford Knight’s exhibition Kaleidoscope (The Spirit and The Flesh) is at the gallery on Glapthorn Road until Saturday, October 11. Mr Knight said: “It is inspired by my love of derelict buildings, castles and industrial remains, as well as trees that have been struck by lightning and have been turned into interesting forms.

“There are a few of them around.

“The pictures are in oils and mixed media and there are some very large oils.”

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 5pm and on Sundays from 2.30pm to 5pm. Entry is free.
