People plagued by motorcycle nuisance in Wellingborough are being urged to come forward to help prosecute those responsible.
Police are urging any witnesses to motorcycle nuisance to come forward while prosecutions are being planned for anti-social riders on the Kingsway, Croyland Park and Wilby Way estates in the town.
PC Mark Jones, of Wellingborough’s Safer Community Team, said: “We have received a number of reports of motorcycle nuisance on these estates and several callers are prepared to give evidential statements.
“If you are affected by motorcycle in nuisance in Wellingborough and haven’t contacted us or spoken to us so far, and are prepared to make a statement, then please get in touch.
“Some of these incidents have been reported as ‘near misses’ where riders have nearly hit children, runners or dogs being walked by their owners.
“We are looking to issue Section 59 warnings to anti-social riders so we would like to hear from as many witnesses as possible.
“What has really been helpful so far is where members of the public have taken pictures of the riders on their mobile phones and shown us the images.”
Anyone who can help the police with more information is asked to call Wellingborough SCT on 101.
