Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a man died in a road accident on the M1 early yesterday morning.
A lorry and car collided at about 4.15am on the northbound carriageway between junctions 16 and 17.
The blue Peugeot 307 had broken down in the carriageway and was stationary in the inside lane when it was hit by a green Scania HGV.
It is believed the car had been stationary for about 15 minutes before the accident and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have driven past the car during that time.
The driver of the car, a man from Northampton, died as a result of the collision.
Witnesses can call the Drivewatch Hotline on 08000 174615.
