Appeal for information on car after body found near Corby pub

A police appeal for information has been made following the discovery of a body of a man outside a Corby pub.

The investigation into the unexplained death of the 39-year-old, who has not yet been officially named, is continuing.

Officers were called to an incident in the Wedmore Road car park at the back of the Phoenix pub in Beanfield Avenue at about 3.40am on Tuesday (February 18).

A police spokesman said: “Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have seen a seen a light burgundy Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet during the evening of Monday, February 17, or the early hours of Tuesday.

“The car was involved in the incident and has been seized by police.”
