Anjana hopes to power over hot coals in charity firewalk

A brave lady is walking on hot coals for charity.

Anjana Rajani, a director at Wollaston-based Power2Progress, is taking part in a firewalk to raise money for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS).

The firewalk is being hosted by Ben Cohen’s Standup Foundation, an anti-bullying charity.

Anjana said: “I was bullied as a child therefore it is something very close to my heart.

“They have suggested we can raise money for our chosen charity and I have chosen the NRAS.

“I lost my mum two-and-a-half years ago and she suffered severely from this disease, dramatically affecting her life, her ability to do things and her confidence, and was a large contributing factor to us losing her. As her birthday is coming up on February 23 I thought it would be nice to do something in her honour and help those that suffer and their relatives. I often think if only I had known how much of a deadly disease this was maybe I would have done things differently.”
