Animal charity in need of dog food

ANIMAL lovers are being urged to donate dog food to a charity which goes through about 50 tins a day.

Animals In Need in Little Irchester has about 70 dogs in its care and on a daily basis uses between 45 to 50 tins of dog food and a 15kg bag of dry dog food.

Kennel manager Pam Filby said: “Without people giving us donations it would cost us about £100 a day in food. The money we raise tends to go towards our vet bills which can be anything between £2,500 to £4,000 a month and on things like maintaining our vehicles so we’re able to attend emergencies.”

People can donate food to the sanctuary or to collection boxes at Morrisons in Wellingborough and Northampton, Grahams Pets Foods in Rushden and Lush in Northampton.
