One of the county’s largest dental practices has been acquired by new owners.

Elizabeth Street Dental Practice in Corby has been taken over by Dr Avi Bhundia and Dr Ketan Panchal, who have both worked there for the past year.

They have acquired the business from previous owners Dr George Rothnie and Dr Kevin Atkinson, who have treated patients locally for more than 35 years.

Treating both NHS and private patients, the surgery will continue to offer a full range of routine, preventive and restorative dentistry services as well as children’s dentistry, orthodontics, crown and bridgework, denture services and periodontology.

A range of cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening, cosmetic braces, implants and veneers is also being introduced.

An undisclosed funding package from RBS has supported acquisition costs.

Dr Bhundia said: “Elizabeth Street Dental Centre is a well-established practice, having provided oral healthcare to the local community for more than 35 years.

“Both Ketan and myself are thrilled at having successfully taken over the practice and would like to personally thank Dr Rothnie and Dr Atkinson for their continued support during the transition period.

“They will continue to treat patients at the practice and we will continue to provide a high level of dental care to the local residents of Corby and surrounding areas.

“We would also like to thank the team at Royal Bank of Scotland for their support.

Michael Musson, senior relationship manager at RBS, said: “It’s been a pleasure to be of help to Avinash and Ketan and I look forward to supporting them over the coming years and wish them every success in their new venture.”
