A charity cyclist says he is looking forward to taking part in an all-day 200-mile ride.
Steve Blakemore will be completing 30 laps of the Pitsford reservoir in the Brixworth Country Park on Tuesday, July 16.
Steve, who works for Kettering firm 1st Reaction Security, is taking part in the cycle to raise money for dog charity Bravo, which cares for ex-working dogs which have come to the end of their working lives.
Some of the funds raised will also help fund an information point at the country park.
“Many people have said they will come along and cycle with me to support what I am doing and to help me get through the pain barrier of such a big distance,” said Steve, who has already raised about £2,000 in sponsorship.
“I am sure I will need some as the day wears on.”
Steve has also thanked a number of local sponsors for their help, including the Newlands Shopping Centre, Tranex Telecommunications, Feakins garage, 5Mile Media, La Rocca restaurant, ASP Property Services, Wellingborough Cycles, Connect FM, Alan Osbourne traditional sign writer and 1st Reaction Security.
