A workshop aimed at getting people’s views about plans for dementia services in Northamptonshire is being held at the Corby Cube this Thursday (January 8) between 10am and midday.
Kirsty Frost and Gary Burr from the Alzheimer’s Society will give an overview and update from the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia 2014 report.
Geraldine McMurdie who is the commissioning manager for dementia at Nene Clinical Commissioning Group and Corby Clinical Commissioning Group and the Northamptonshire County Council joint Commissioning team will speak about the local strategy.
Anne Villegas, development and delivery manager for Healthwatch Northamptonshire said: “We are delighted that representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society and Northamptonshire County Council and the Clinical Commissioning Groups are able to attend and give us further details about the proposals for Northamptonshire.
“We are trying to secure a service user or carer to speak on the day, which will give a fuller picture of living with dementia. We hope this event will act as a catalyst in taking this very important agenda forward, and ensuring there is continued dialogue and involvement with all stakeholders, including users, carers and the wider public.”
