Air ambulance attends crash on A14 near Burton Latimer

An overturned car caused delays on the A14 near Burton Latimer on Wednesday afternoon (March 19).

The air ambulance was called to the incident, which happened near junction 11 for Finedon just before 3pm.

A 47-year old woman who was injured after her car rolled over.

Police closed the carriageway for 10 minutes so the air ambulance could land.

A spokesman for the Warickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance said: “The patient was treated at the scene for possible pelvic injuries after being carefully extricated from the vehicle by the local fire and rescue service. She was given pain relief before being immobilised and airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment where she remains in a stable condition.”

A police spokesman said the road was reopened again at about 3.50pm.
