A charity afternoon tea will be held this weekend in memory of a 10-year-old boy who died of heart failure last year.
The event will take place at Great Oakley Village Hall in Lewin Road from midday to 2pm on Saturday, June 6.
Admission is £6 for adults and £3 for children, and proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation.
It is being organised by the family of Thomas McNamee, of Corby, who died in October 2014 after collapsing at Studfall Junior School.
His mother’s cousin, Angela Tinto, said: “There will be tea and coffee served with scones, jam and clotted cream, there will be various cakes and cupcakes and a variety of sandwiches.
“There will also be a raffle and everyone is welcome for a fun afternoon.”
She will also take part in the Great North Run this September for the same charity in Thomas’ memory.
She said: “I do a lot of work for charity, but this one is particularly close to me.”
