Budding photographers and film-makers can improve their skills thanks to a £32,000 project at Adrenaline Alley, Corby.
This weekend it will be launching its new photography and media studio at the urban sports centre in Priors Haw Road.
Funds for the scheme were raised by Ashley Pover, who completed a sponsored cycle ride and wanted the proceeds to benefit young people in Corby.
Mandy Young, founder of the alley and its development director, said: “We asked young people what they would like the money to be spent on and they came up with the idea of the photography studio. We hope it will be a big success.”
The studio will run a two-hour learning club for 14 to 21-year-olds twice a week.
It will also be available for hire by local companies, camera clubs, schools and community groups. Facilities include professionally rigged lighting, a large infinity cove or all-white space, and an editing area. There is also a make-up room, shower and back basin, media room with internet access, a fully-equipped kitchen, reception area and gallery.
The studio’s open event is from midday until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. For details call 01536 202049.
