Northamptonshire charity Action for Asperger’s is holding a high tea afternoon on Sunday, August 11.
The event, which starts at 2pm at Mill View house in Barnwell Road, Oundle, will raise money for the charity, which is based in the town.
The afternoon will include refreshments and entertainment from various musical artistes. It is an autism-friendly event with a chill-out zone and trained helpers on hand.
All proceeds from the event will go towards equiping a sensory therapy room, the first of its type in Barnwell. It will be avaiable for children of all ages in a non-institutionalised setting.

Meanwhile, the founder and CEO of Action for Asperger’s, Elaine Nicholson, has picked up a commendation in the Disability Awareness Alumnus of the Year presentatioon at Leicester’s De Montfort University.
Elaine spoke of the joy in recieving the award at the ceremony on July 19, adding: “This was a great honour, especially as I had graduated from there in 1995.”
