A45 re-opens after crash near Rushden Lakes

The A45 has opened again after closure caused massive disruption.

The road had been closed westbound after a three-vehicle collision at about 10.30am this morning.

The closure caused long delays and traffic build-ups.

Highways England and PC Lee of the safer roads team tweeted that the road was re-opened just before 2pm.

It is expected to take some time for traffic to clear.
