A section of the A14 has re-opened after a crash between a car and a lorry.
The A14 westbound was closed between Junctions 1 and 2 from just after 8.15am until about 12.30pm.
A lorry and car were in collision, resulting in the lorry overturning into a ditch.
Police were at the scene with Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service, and officers took water to the scene for motorists caught up in the road closures.
A police spokesman said: “Two people are were injured in the collision, although they are not believed to have serious injuries.”
Traffic was diverted to the A508 to Market Harborough and onto the A4304 while recovery work took place.
The eastbound carriageway was closed temporarily to allow the air ambulance to land.
Motorists were advised to avoid the A14 westbound between Junctions 1 and 2 or allow extra time for the diversion.
