A-levels: Sir Christopher Hatton Academy, Wellingborough

A Sir Christopher Hatton Academy pupil will go on to study at Cambridge University after receiving his A-level results today.

Joel Essam received A* grades in maths, further maths and physics and will now study natural sciences at the prestigious university.

This year half of the grades awarded were between A*-B with the academy obtaining a record number of A* grades.

All students have gained the necessary qualifications to progress onto their future pathway.

Top performers included:

Aidan Lynch – history (A*), sociology (A*), English literature (A), extended project (A).

Evita Perkone (Head Girl) – English literature (A), geography (A), maths (A).

Bremner White – geography (A*), business studies (A), philosophy and ethics (A).

Connor Hodgson – geography (A), maths (A), further maths (A).

Associate principal Andrew Wilson said: “The staff of Sir Christopher Hatton Academy would like to congratulate all students on their results and wish them all the very best for their future endeavours.”

Many other students achieved excellent results, both in A-levels and vocational qualifications.

The highest performing subjects at A-level included: maths, geography, English literature and business studies.

The top vocational subjects included: business, sport, health and social care, science, music and ICT.

Year 6 - Tuesday, October 13 at 6.30pm.

VI Form – Wednesday, November 9, at 6.30pm.
