Students from Northamptonshire were among those celebrating their results at Kimbolton School
Despite widespread speculation that A-Level results would decline this year, the Cambridgeshire school has maintained its record of high achievement with over 46 per cent of all grades at A* or A grade and a 100 per cent pass rate.
Twenty-four students, a quarter of the year group, gained at least three A*/As. All students with Oxbridge offers achieved the required grades.
The A*-B rate was a 79.4 per cent.
Jonathan Belbin, the headmaster said: “These fine results are testament to the teamwork and efforts of both pupils and staff. Our curriculum focuses on the so-called ‘hard’ subjects which open doors to the top universities. At the same time, our 100 per cent pass rate reflects achievement across the ability range, so that the vast majority of our students gain entry to their chosen university.”
