Brooke Weston Academy is celebrating its best-ever A-level examination results with anunprecedented six students having secured a place at Oxbridge.
It is also the sixth consecutive year that students have performed at an outstanding level, with an average score per student of 381 UCAS points, indicating that, on average, students achieved three A grades each.
Our top-performing student achieved four A* and one A grade and 13 further students achieved in excess of 40 A*/A grades between them.
More than 70 per cent of the cohort will continue their studies at university with the remainder opting for professional or vocational apprenticeships.
Congratulations to our Oxbridge students: Victor Ho (4A* 1B), Kiran Joshi (2A* 3A) and Gautham Kumar (3A*) will all be studying medicine at the University of Cambridge.
George Robinson (4A* 1A) and Callum Ward (4A*) have also secured places at Cambridge reading mathematics and natural sciences respectively while Kapil Tyagi (1A*2A) is going to Oxford to study English Language and Literature.
A significant number of other students have places at highly prestigious universities.
Those who are studying medicine include Poppy Aves (3A 1B) who will attend the University of Leicester and Jordan Smith (3A) who be studying at the University of Nottingham.
Julia Komor (2A*1A) and Tho-Quang Nguyen (3A* 1A) will both be studying medicine in London at Imperial College and Queen Mary respectively.
Others who are celebrating include Simran Garcha (3A) who will be studying optometry at Aston and Simran Kang (2A* 1A) who will be attending the University of Leicester to study Law.
Hayden Tetley (2A*1A,1B) will be reading mathematics at the University of Nottingham while Harriet Woodward (3A) and will be studying German and Russian at the University of Leeds.
