A £330,000 major refurbishment is being carried out at a Rushden pub.
The Welcome Inn has closed for the work to be carried out, including removal of a wall to make the two rooms into one, changing the fixed seating and a general refurbishment of the premises.
Punch Taverns Plc has applied to East Northamptonshire Council for a variation to the premises licence to allow for these changes.
Anyone wishing to comment on this application can do so up until August 3.
Punch Taverns Plc has also applied for new signs to go up outside the pub.
The plans show the firm wants to install a number of illuminated and non-illuminated signs on the outside of the building.
The new signs are in green and gold and are advertising wifi and that the pub is somewhere people can go to watch live football.
A spokesman for Punch Taverns said the major refurbishment is costing £330,000 and customers will be able to see the results of it when the pub in Irchester Road, Rushden, re-opens in the week of August 3.
