Seven Northampton neighbours are set for a grand Christmas after scoambassoping £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The folks from Sallow Avenue. Rectory Farm, netted their windfall when NN3 5HP was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday.

They won't get the crew from the telly ads knocking on their doors thanks to Covid-19 restrictions, but one of the ambassadors Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.

He said: “Congratulations to all of Sunday’s winners, thrilled for you all! I hope it’s brightened up your day and that you enjoy spending the cash!”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

Sunday's draw was promoted on behalf of the NSPCC which has received over £5.2million worth of funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The NSPCC works to protect children today, prevent abuse tomorrow and to make child abuse a thing of the past.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
