Field full of fun for all the family in Corby

One day free festival organised by Made in Corby comes to Woodsend Field on Saturday September 24.

Festival goers are invited to ‘go green’ and leave their cars at home, as it’s only a 13 minute walk or a short hop on the number 3 bus from the town centre!

Rain or shine, the festival will be going ahead under big marquees housing a wide range of things to do, see and get involved.

You can learn to sing at a taster workshops with Deep Roots Tall Trees Choir, or why not have a go at making your own ukulele and learning some new songs?

Try your hand at woodcarving, writing a poem with the Mouthy Poets, photography and collage with Corby Community Arts or even creating some 3D art in the virtual reality tent!

Children will love meeting their favourite characters from TV, getting their face painted, trying circus skills with Circus Sensible, having a bounce in the disco dome or fun activities for pre-schoolers with Corby Library.

Get engrossed in a story with Parrabola theatre company, meet the Jurassic stiltwalkers or be impressed by the skills and strength of The Compound.

On the main stage or the open mic tent, performances takes place from Chuck the Poet, the cast of Danny Hero singing a preview of songs from Corby’s new musical and a massed ukulele orchestra
