"Well sit back and listen to how our officers assisted with the birth of baby Harris last night.....

"It all started with a routine traffic enquiry when a car pinged as having no insurance.

"Our Road Crime Team officers stopped the driver and turned out he had just literally bought cover that morning.

"Then his wife called - she’d gone into labour!

"The urgency was obvious, so we all hot-footed it to his address in Northampton.

"An ambulance was called, but baby wasn’t going to wait - he wanted to come out ASAP!

"A few minutes later, baby Harris arrived, delivered by two of our police officers who were talked through it by the incredible Maternity Ward at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.

"Mum was incredibly cool and collected throughout the entire process.

"Then those heroes we call paramedics arrived and cut the cord, making sure everything was all good.2

"Dad then made time to show us his insurance policy. We’re pleased to report it was all in order

"So that’s the story of how baby Harris came into this world.

"Thank you to our officers.

"Mum, dad and baby are all doing well

"Did we get any photos? Of course we did!"
