Magical fairy woods helping raise funds for village school near Kettering

A group of parents have created an enchanting attraction to help raise funds for the village school and pocket park.

The Friends of Broughton Primary School came up with the idea of making a fairy wood in the pocket park with the hope of raising not only money but also some community spirit.

They have been working on the project during lockdown and it is now filled with more than 40 fairy doors for families to enjoy and explore.

The group, known as FOBS, said: "We're raising money from our community project to go towards outdoor equipment at the primary school and improvements to the pond at the pocket park.

"If you'd like to donate you can do so here, even £1 is much appreciated and you'll receive a map as a thank you."

The fundraising page goes on to explain what the money will go towards, saying: "FOBS funds extras at Broughton Primary School the children otherwise wouldn't be lucky enough to have.

"Like regularly yearly trips to the pantomime and extra outside play equipment.

"With so much unknown about this September we'd like to raise some money for extra outside equipment and contribute towards the parish council adding a dipping platform at the woods."
