The announcement of the first national lockdown - due to the coronavirus pandemic - in March 2020 meant that a lot of weddings could not go ahead last year.
The weddings that could eventually go ahead could only do so with a limited number of guests and Covid safety measures in place.
We asked our readers to send in pictures from their weddings that took place during and around both lockdowns in 2020.
Here are some of our favourite photos of the happy couples...

"We eloped to Devon on the 19th September 2020 just the 2 of us, we planned it this was anyway but lucky for us we did, little did we know of the restrictions that would be in place and the stress it would of caused if we had a big wedding planned. Our day was amazing." Photo: Gina Gale

"Me and my husband's wedding got postponed on 16th May 2020.. so we were gutted because we had everything planned. We re-booked for 22nd August 2020. We had to cut right down on service and only have small reception...but it turned out to be a really special day." Photo: Amanda Fox

"Richard Bradley-Peters and I got married 28th of September. We had a small ceremony at the Northampton council offices within the town library. We only had two very dear friends of ours as witnesses. Afterwards, we walked through the gardens at Delapre abbey for pictures and then enjoyed some lunch at the Greyhound in Milton Malsor."
