The Core at Corby Cube is launching a family film project called We Are Family.

The community project will create a film and performance to tell our experiences of family as part of Here and Now, a national celebration of culture to mark the National Lottery's 25th anniversary.

We Are Family will create a music video with interviews and will run through the Autumn before a public performance at The Core in January.

The project needs local Corby residents to get involved. Musicians, music groups, and singers of all ages are invited to take part as well as people to talk about their family.

It does not have to be blood relatives but about the family you rely on when things get rough.

This year has been hard for many people and We Are Family is a chance to share some positivity.

The project is being led by theatre company Pecho Mama. To find out more and meet Pecho Mama, head along to The Qube Cafe Bar at 4pm on Friday, September 25.

Social distancing guidelines will be observed and groups will be limited to six at a time with contact details taken and held for 21 days for Track and Trace purposes.

If you would like to be involved but cannot attend on Friday, you can email [email protected] to register your interest, set up a Zoom or phone meeting or share your thoughts on family.
