Limboland is one of the musical comedian’s most successful live shows ever. After a sell-out five week run in the West End, and a packed tour to Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, Bill has added extra shows to his schedule including one more night in Northampton. The original June dates at Royal & Derngate sold out but tickets are now available for an additional performance on Tuesday July 5.

The gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are is the subject of Bill’s new show Limboland. From his countless global travels, he recounts the saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. He rails against a world that doesn’t match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness. And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so there is Bill’s version of the protest song, a heart-rending country and western ballad played on a Bible, and a downbeat version of Happy Birthday.

A British Comedy Award winner, Bill Bailey has enjoyed great success on the live stage. In 2001 he took his show Bewilderness to New York and in 2004 he performed his show Part Troll at more than 50 UK venues. In 2007 he embarked on a sold-out UK arena tour with his audio-visual comedic extravaganza, Tinselworm, which subsequently toured down under. Bill toured the UK once again in 2009 with Bill Bailey Live, before enjoying a very successful UK tour of his musical comedy extravaganza, Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra. In 2010 Bill Bailey toured the Scottish Highlands with Dandelion Mind, where he enjoyed performing to small intimate crowds, before his huge open air homecoming gig at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium and an international tour of Australia and New Zealand. This was by followed by yet another hit show, Qualmpeddler.

Bill has also performed repeatedly at the Edinburgh Festival with his 1996 show, Bill Bailey Live, earning him a Perrier nomination.
