The pub is in a Grade II listed building which dates back to the mid-18th century and it has recently undergone a major refurbishment, creating a an impressive modern dining area and bar.

Staff at the pub will launch a brand new menu on March 1 which features a number of fantastic meal deals and special offers.

On Mondays customers can enjoy soup and a carvery for just £6 and on Tuesdays you can order a curry and a pint for the fantastic price of £5.95.

Wednesday is steak night and diners will get a free bottle of wine when they order two steaks, while on Thursdays there is one-third off the price of all a la carte meals.

There is also a Golden Oldie promotion on lunches where pensioners can enjoy a starter and main course for £6.95 and get a free dessert.

Early bird diners can also save money with the Beat The Clock menu, available from 4pm until 6pm. Order your meal at 4.01pm and you pay just £4.01, place your order at 5.34pm and you pay £5.34, and so on.

Under 10s can also eat free with every paying adult.

The pub also prides itself on its homemade desserts and using ingredients from local suppliers.

The Green Dragon runs special theme nights, such as its Italian Night on Friday, March 30, which costs £12.50 per person.

The pub also has five en-suite bedrooms, all tastefully decorated and with flatscreen TVs.

Prices start at £45 per room per night and include a full English breakfast.
