The total number of coronavirus cases in Northamptonshire has gone up by one to 16, according to the latest figures.

However, Health Secretary Matt Hancock admitted the actual count is likely to be much higher due to the reduction in testing.

It is not known where in the county the latest person who has tested positive are or how they became infected.

Two deaths have been confirmed in Northants, a 92-year-old man at Northampton General Hospital and a 45-year-old man from Kettering - the youngest person in the country to die after getting the disease.

The national figure rose by 643 yesterday (Thursday, March 19) to a total of 3,269, with 144 deaths.
