A duo of Northamptonshire nurseries has started using a new app that allows staff to receive direct praise from parents.

Little Learners Childcare, which has a nursery in Cliftonville, Northampton and Occupation Road, Corby is the first nursery chain to introduce the app so that parents have an easy way to offer positive feedback to staff.

Thanks and Praise (TAP) is a new app that has been trialled in other areas of the country and allows parents to send private messages of gratitude as well as public posts.

Sam Evans, director of Little Learners Childcare, said: “We aim to provide a true home from home and we value the input from our families to enhance the children’s learning and development.

“TAP provides an ideal platform for our children’s families to give regular and positive feedback to our committed staff.”

The free-to-use social platform allows parents to send private messages of thanks to members of staff at any time during the year and also provides the option for the nurseries to be praised on a public-facing ‘digital thanking wall’.

The app, which is rolling out across the country following significant interest in thanking education staff during the coronavirus pandemic, can also be used to help raise funds.

Matt Findel-Hawkins, CEO of the app, added: “It’s fantastic to bring on board our first nurseries, joining the primary and secondary schools already using our TAP platform, proving that education organisations of all ages can benefit.”
