A morning which started with uncertainty ended with joy for students and staff at Wrenn School in Wellingborough.

There was a 100 per cent pass rate for the Year 13 cohort with more than 60 A* to A grades.

Head of sixth form Natasha Thomas-Francis said: "We are extremely proud of the successes of our students during a time of unprecedented uncertainty.

"It is a confirmation of their work ethos that the majority of our students have secured their first choice at university. Their dedication and resilience have paid off, and we expect them to flourish in their future pathways.

"A huge thank you to all staff and parents who have supported our fantastic students over the last two years.

"Unfortunately, we have not been able to celebrate with our students and their families in the traditional way, however we extend a virtual pat on the back to all."
