The Core at Corby Cube offers free online drama sessions for children
The Core at Corby Cube have announced that they will be offering online drama sessions free of charge this term for children aged between five and 11-years-old.
The Sparks classes would usually charge a term fee to help subsidise the cost of practitioners and staff to run them.

The Core’s director, Joe Flavin, said: “With schools shut, we know that this lockdown may be placing a lot of stress and strain on families at the moment, both mentally and financially.
“We are thrilled to offer Sparks for free this term and hope that these fun sessions will give some respite in what are difficult times for many.”
The Sparks sessions involve getting children to play a wide range of theatre games, while developing their confidence and making new friends.

There is no obligation for commitment further down the line and staff will be on hand to give parents an overview of what sessions will entail before their child joins in.
The sessions will work towards a showcase performance, which parents will be invited to watch virtually in March.
Sparks sessions will take place every Saturday morning with sessions for five to seven-year-olds taking place from 10am to 11am and sessions for eight to 11-year-olds taking place from 11.15am to 12.15pm.
