M&B operations director, James Penny, said: "We are excited to announce our first big event on Monday. We are now working not only on next year’s line-up but on 2022 and beyond. We cannot wait to reveal what we have planned!

"M&B work with some of the biggest names in comedy, music and sports and will bring a host of internationally renowned stars to Wicksteed Open Air Theatre over the coming years, which we see as great for Northamptonshire and beyond."

The news is a boost for the park after its operating company went into administration last month.Big events can help bring in funds that Wicksteed Charitable Trust use to maintain free open access for the public.

M&B currently book shows for Wicksteed Park's indoor venue at the pavilion and have Martin Kemp, Russell Kane and Jason Manford lined up for next year.
