The farm plans to throw open its doors on July 1 with new animal pens, and further details will be revealed on their Facebook page next week.

Taking to Facebook today the bosses said: "So this has been quite a tough three months, the animals have missed you, we have missed you and the sun has been shining.

"We have spent the time wisely building new animal pens, painting anything that hasn’t moved and the whole farm is looking amazing.

"However, unlike some places, we don’t want to rush in. There are still so many questions that need clarification for example social distancing, indoor and outdoor play areas, can we open a gift shop, the food we can serve in the café and many more besides.

"So we plan to open on July 1. There will be more details to follow of course but entry will be on a pre-booking basis so that we can control numbers making it safe for staff and customers alike.

"So book that date in your diary and we will be back with more information in the next week or so."
