David Wilson Homes is celebrating a new milestone at its Earls Barton development with the completion of a brand new cricket pitch.

The Wickets, located on Main Road, is now home to the sporting facility alongside a new community of 280 properties, 67 per cent of which are now occupied.

As part of its planning agreement, the developer is bringing a £2.4 million investment into the area via the new homes scheme.

Specific contributions include £50,000 towards healthcare, nearly £1.5 million towards primary education in the area and £600,000 towards sports and community.

The new cricket pitch at the Grange Field will be used and managed by Earls Barton Cricket Club, who run extensive coaching and training for children from the age of five to 18, as well as adult ‘weekend' teams.

Residents will be welcomed to join as members, whether that be playing or social.
