Northamptonshire County Council deputy leader Lizzy Bowen said: “We know this is a difficult time for start-ups.

"That’s why we are delivering a dedicated webinar programme to support entrepreneurs and business owners, which can be accessed remotely.

“As an extension of the Reset. Restart programme, we wanted to go that one step further, and so we are delighted to be able to support start-ups with a £1,500 grant to help bring to life new businesses to start-up, innovate and grow.”

Reset. Restart was launched by the British Library's Business & IP Centre in October to support SMEs through the Covid-19 crisis, which has regional centres across the country, including Northamptonshire.

The deadline for applications for the small business grants is midnight on March 28.

Shortlisted applicants have to make a Dragon's Den-style presentation to the panel on April 15 and 16 and the winners will be notified by April 30 before a public announcement at the beginning of May.
